Portsmouth Amputee FC: 2021/2022 season update

As we head in to March 2022, Portsmouth Amputee FC currently sit top of the Irwin Mitchell English Amputee FA Premiership, four points clear of previous league winners Manchester City.

The EAFA IM Amputee League is run in association with Premier League and EFL League Community Clubs & Foundations. Kirk Hughes, Portsmouth Amputee FC Player said, โ€˜The boys are showing great teamwork and we are getting some excellent results in a hard fought league. We’ve been unlucky with some results, but if we keep playing the way we are, hopefully we’ll show how well we play as a team and remain top of the league.โ€™

Portsmouth & England player Ray Westbrook, commented about the teamโ€™s ambitions, โ€˜The lads have all stepped it up a gear from last season, feeling fitter and finding themselves in control of games more often. We still have 6 fixtures remaining and the final playoff day, we need to keep our focus and Iโ€™m sure Portsmouth Amps FC will follow up with the goods to be crowned champions this season!!!! PUP!โ€™
