Blue Kitchen is our flagship cooking enterprise that provides culinary workshops in a range of structures. Each workshop or cooking course is specifically designed around different cohorts.
All courses are run in our state-of-the-art training kitchen that is complete with eight discrete cooking stations. Each course is led by our own in-house community chef.

Blue Kitchen
Pompey in the Communityโs Blue Kitchen Back to Work project is a 12-week practical, into-work cookery course that will introduce and develop essential skills and techniques, leading to education, training and employment.
The course is aimed at unemployed and socially inactive individuals who might be complete kitchen novices or in need of refreshing and updating previous skills. With the into-work elements embedded, it will create a pathway into employment, training, further education, or volunteering.
As part of the into-work element of the course, we will offer CV building,ย basic literacy, and numeracy skills. This element will be delivered by a member of our teaching staff. A Job Search Club will be established and will be supported online for participants to keep in touch and be able to access at any time.
