NCS is back! And so is the 1 week residential for the first time in 2 years!
Are you in final year of secondary school? This could be the summer programme for you! This July and August we are running a number of 2 week courses designed to give you your independence and set you up for adulthood through a variety of exciting activities.
So here it goes, week one: BE EPIC! We’ll be taking you on a fantastic 5 day residential where you’ll be given the chance to dive headfirst into a wide range of water sports activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding and cliff jumping!
Also in this first week, we’ll give you the chance to LIVE LIFE and throw yourself into a variety of interactive workshops designed to give you some key life skills not often provided at school. For example, we’ll be hosting a bushcraft session which teaches you the art of outdoor survival, cooking and archery – just to give it that edge!
After this we start week two: DO GOOD! On the Monday, back with us in Portsmouth at Pompey in the Community where we hand over to you! In your teams you will independently design and execute your own social action project and give something back to your community. This project can be whatever you like, you and the rest of your team call the shots! Then finally after all that, we can’t say goodbye without having a party to round off your time with us and provide you with your signed certificate to add to your portfolio.
