Pompey in the Community CEO pays respects at the Queen’s Funeral in Westminster

To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, Pompey in the Community’s CEO, Clare Martin MBE, will be attending Her Majesty The Queen’s funeral at Westminster Abbey today to pay her respects on behalf of everyone from PitC.

The State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen will take place later this morning at 11am where everyone in attendance, and across the nation, will have the opportunity to pay tribute to the incredible and dutiful work of Queen Elizabeth II.

Her state funeral will be one of the largest diplomatic occasions of the century. A mixture of family members, monarchs, prestigious leaders and politicians will all be in attendance to pay respect to the world’s longest-reigning monarch.

The Archbishop of Canterbury will conduct a short service assisted by the Dean of Westminster and attended by The King and members of the royal family, after which the lying-in-state will begin.

We at Pompey in the Community would like to convey our deepest sadness at the passing of a Head of State whose lifetime of service to the nation was attended with dignity and dedication.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family today on this day of public mourning.
