Pompey in the Community has just appointed CityFibre to connect their digital network and infrastructure at the new John Jenkins Stadium, currently under construction in the city.

A Full Fibre network, allowing for very high-speed broadband internet of up to 1000Mbps, is essential to the organisation and their delivery. With so much of their BTEC and Degree teaching and learning now online, it is imperative that students have reliable, super-fast and near limitless capabilities to ensure they can fully participate, and that Pompey in the Community’s offer remains competitive and relevant.

This partnership also allows Pompey in the Community to incorporate the latest digital technology and innovative solutions into the new stadium build at this critical early stage.

PitC’s recently appointed Operations and IT Lead, Jack Chapman, says of the appointment:

CityFibre have just made my job a lot easier. Our collaboration will allow us to roll out new technology solutions at the John Jenkins Stadium more effectively and efficiently, saving time and money, and making us fit for the future.’

Pompey in the Community’s CEO, Clare Martin, commented: ‘I am delighted to be working with CityFibre. They are highly a professional organisation with specialised skills and knowledge. Not only that, but they are great to work with and are thoroughly nice people.’

Jonathan Russell, City Manager for City Fibre said: ‘It’s important to our mission not only to connect people and business to the most reliable full fibre technology but also ensure a long-lasting legacy for Portsmouth communities. We see Pompey in the Community as being in the vanguard of addressing community needs and are so pleased to be part of the fantastic John Jenkins Stadium project.
